Living Room - Archviz

For this scene I wanted to do something in ArchViz. I chose a living room because I thought it would be easiest to find good assets for. I’ve used assets and textures from Poliigon, Quixel and made very easy ones in Blender.

This is the first time that I’m changing the pose of a character (from Metahuman). Getting the character to smile in a more or less natural way was surprisingly hard. It’s also the first time that I’m making use of the post processing volume in Unreal Engine. In previous scenes, I had it added but never tweaked any settings. I’ve also significantly improved on the movie render queue config.
In my last two scenes I’ve only really used pre-made assets from the Epic store and Quixel. Using assets from Poliigon meant that I had to get familiar with the material editor a lot more.
